Sony had promised Android 5.0 Lollipop update for all its Xperia Z line-up when Google officially announced it. The company has already started rolling out the Lollipop update for the Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2. However, the other devices in the Z series are yet to get the update. Now, Sony has just started teasing the Android Lollipop for the two years old device - the Sony Xperia Z.
The Xperia Z, which was launched back in June 2013, came pre-installed with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Sony has just posted an image of the Xperia Z on Google+ with a 'Coming Soon' tagline. Nothing else is known about the update schedule as of now, but we are glad that a device which is almost three generations old (the launch of Xperia Z4 is just around the corner) is getting updated to the latest version of Android. The smartphone is currently retailing for about Rs 24,000 in the market.
We'll keep you updated as and when we come to know about the update hitting the devices.
