This is an excellent feature as it will be helpful for prepaid customers in case of emergency and was missing from Uninor's bouquet. Airtel has been offering loans upto Rs.50 depending on the usage pattern of the subscribers. In fact Airtel is the only operator that gives high talk time as advanced loan talktime. The service charges are just Rs. 3 for Rs.50 talk time which in fact works out to be cheaper than paying the taxes while recharging.

Vodafone on the other hand sticks to the conventional Rs. 10 talk time as the basic pack which will be credited once user sends an SMS saying ‘Credit’ to 144, else users can also call 1241 and select the loan options. Vodafone also offers advance talk time of higher denomination(Rs. 5, 10, 25) depending on the customers usage pattern and the period of commitment with the operator.
