Asus is said to be working on its first smartwatch based on Android Wear

As per a report by TechCrunch, Asus is working on its first smartwatch based on Android Wear. It is said to feature an AMOLED display and come at an affordable price. As per @evleaks, the device is codenamed as Robin and will be the thinnest smartwatch in its category. Google had announced the specialised version of Android for wearable devices such as smartwatches and smart glasses.

Currently, there are three smartwatches based on Android Wear; Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live. The LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are already listed on Google Play Store for Rs 14,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively. The Motorola Moto G on the other hand is said to be pricier than both of these smartwatches. If Asus wants its smartwatch to be relatively affordable, they should price it close to Rs 10,000.
