Updated HTC One (M8) Prime with 18 MP Camera and QHD screen might launch later this year

Almost every brands has already launched its flagship smartphone during the MWC (Mobile World Congress) earlier this year. But looks like these brands are already working on next generation of devices which can be launched as soon as later this year. HTC might launch the HTC One Prime with updated hardware to compete with the likes of LG G3 and Samsung Galaxy S5 Prime. According to leaked information, the HTC One Prime might come with a 5.5 inch QHD screen, 2.3 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and an updated 18MP rear camera.

Both, the HTC One (2013) and the HTC One (M8) had received great reviews from all the experts around the world except for its low resolution camera sensor. Although it did capture more light than others which resulted in some great low light images and videos, it was criticised for low resolution count which limits the images for smaller sized prints and sharing only on social networks. Now, HTC might have decided to fix one glaring issue which might have affected sales of its previous generation smartphones with a large camera sensor with high pixel count. The HTC One Prime might use an 18MP camera sensor (might be the Aptina AR2520HS) with 4K video shooting capabilities along with a 5MP depth sensor camera for a Duo Camera setup just like the HTC One (2013). It features a new 4G LTE compatible cellular radio which might be compatible with 4G LTE bands in India.
