Samsung has always been a strong contender in the mid-range price category of smartphones. Mid-range devices like Galaxy Core, Galaxy S Duos and Galaxy Grand have been one of its best-selling smartphones which also has helped it capture the majority of global smartphone market share. Now, in a bid to further strengthen its mid range, Samsung is planning to launch the successor of the Galaxy Core. The Samsung Galaxy Core 2 has just leaked on to the interweb before the launch. As expected, it will be a dual SIM Android smartphone.

The Galaxy Core 2 comes across as another attempt from Samsung to hit back at the Moto G but on paper, the device fails and we are pretty sure the real world conditions are not going to be any different. As per the leaked pricing, it will cost about 9,990 Russian Rubles which translates into Rs 17,000 roughly. With that price tag, we doubt if there's going to be any reason for someone to choose the Galaxy Core 2 over the Motorola Moto G. We expect a global announcement of the Galaxy Core 2 in May.
