Bharti Airtel Offers Extra Data on Prepaid IR Packs for Summer Travellers

Airtel’s 10-day validity IR pack, available at Rs 1198 and offering connectivity across 189 countries, now includes an extra 3GB of data under an exclusive offer. The pack now includes 6GB of high-speed data (3GB + extra 3GB), 20 SMS, and 200 minutes of calls to India, along with local incoming and outgoing calls, all valid for 10 days.

So, overall, the 5-day validity IR pack comes with an extra 2GB of data, and the 10-day validity IR pack comes with 3GB of extra data for those travelling abroad this summer. Although there is no official announcement from the company, the extra benefits are live on the Airtel app and website.

Airtel Leadership Highlights International Roaming in Q4FY26 Earnings Call

Speaking during the Q4FY26 earnings webinar, Shashwat Sharma, MD and CEO – Airtel India said: “We are not happy with the ARPU increase of Rs 3. Part of this issue was linked to West Asia crisis and international roaming revenues, but we are now determined to doubling down on all our levers on ARPU and growing and accelerating this pace.”

“The focus on mobile is to dramatically accelerate our ARPU growth in the business. Overall upgradation with data consumption in 5G, handset upgrades from feature phones, and international roaming offer large headrooms for growth,” Sharma said, speaking about the opportunities that drive ARPU growth in the mobile segment.

“But within the current construct, levers of postpaid penetration within our base, which we feel needs a much larger unlock. International roaming, we’ll see how that plays out this year,” Sharma said, clarifying the ARPU growth opportunities.

During the earnings webinar, Soumen Ray, Group Chief Financial Officer of Bharti Airtel, said: “The headwinds that we have are similar to any other player in any other geography, which is lower international roaming, handset prices slightly going up, and hence having a pressure on 2G to 4G upgrades.”
