25 Micromax A116 Canvas HD Sold per Minute over Snapdeal

Micromax A116 Canvas HDMicromax who is enjoying awesome success in the 5 inch device aka phablet arena, has created a record in the online sales as its latest 5 inch phablet Canvas HD A116 got phenomenal success at its debut. Micromax arranged online pre-ordering of this new smartphone over Snapdeal.com. As Micromax reveals the data from Snapdeal.com it says that there are more than 9,000 units of Canvas HD were booked in less than 24 hours.

As soon as the details of Micromax Canvas HD was unveiled, it created a stir among tech savy audience with its strong specifications and price point. Micromax Canvas HD comes with quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 8 MP camera, 5 inch IPS display and running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The first lot of the Canvas HD was sold out within 15 minutes of announcing the sale at midnight of 14 February 2013. The second lot of 300 units of the phone was again sold out within 15 minutes of the sale at 09:00 am and the third lot of 1200 phones was sold in 45 minutes with the beginning of the sale at noon on the first day itself. Now over 9000 units booked in less than 24 hours and counting.

Mr. Shubhodip Pal, CMO Micromax, said, “The response from our consumers has been phenomenal and the demand has been increasing every passing minute. After the unprecedented success of the Canvas 2, we are overwhelmed with the customer response for Canvas HD. This is the first time our online sales partners have ever witnessed a digital queue in cyberspace to such an extent for any product, to the traditional cue one normally sees. The data also shows that 60% of the orders received online have come from the metros.”
