Videocon Telecommunications Limited, a Videocon Group company has ready to launch its GSM Mobile services in Gujarat Telecom circle.However there is no official word from the company, though they have already listed the tariff plan (same as other circles) details and customer care numbers on their official site.
We also had a chat with our sources in Videocon Telecommunications-Gujarat Circle and according to them the commercial services will be launched very soon though no official launch date was disclosed.
Initially the Core GSM Mobile network is almost ready and company and commercial services will be launched very soon in Ahemdabad, Anand, Ankeleshwar,Bardoli, Baroda(Vadodara), Bhavnagar, Junagarh, Navsari, Rajkot, Surat, Valsad and Verawal. The operator will expands its network gradually across the state.
The Videocon GSM SIM-Kits will be available in all the “Next” Retail outlets in key cities of Gujarat circle, as it is a part of Videocon Group. For more information on videocon GSM services in Gujarat Call 9067012345.
Presently Videocon Telecommunications Ltd has commercial GSM Mobile services in Tamilnadu-Chennai and Mumbai circles and it has UAS licenses for all the 23 circles across India.According to the company’s announcement it would be pan-India operator by September 2010.

@nisha…..agree..But there few more players are in pipeline for Gujarat- Aircel,Uninor,Virgin-GSM,Cheers(Etislat),and after this launch of videoconservice, Docomo will launch the service soon in A’bad, Baroda and Surat as they have tie-up for Spectrum for this three cities, and ASA docomo launch- The Virgin will launch as they are on the same network as tata Docomo.

ya ur rite TATA DOCOMO & RELIANCE are the two operators who changed t market & today b’cos of docomo all operators have slashed ter call charges SO much tat now we can make on net calls @ 10p/min (1p/6sec) (In karnataka circle)

I agree to you, but in telephone operator war customers need to benefited, because just compare today’s call rate and 10 year back’s call rate it prove that telephone operators have looted customer till date and now it is true telecom era come where they have to give not just good tariff & offer but also good CC but vodafone is lacking by charging CC. but in all time I think once when reliance had launched whole market has been changed and now the real market shaker is TATA DOCOMO. with great offers and tariff and not just good Customer care but they are doing customer relation by social networking sites.

For uninor to get a good market share they must launch tarrifs which are user friendly & they should come up with good DATA plans.. Now even vodafone woke up, yhey have launched 2GB free data for 95/month.. Today it is the biggest flop in all the circles it operates.. I guess their ARPU is less than 40rs

Uninor is also almost ready for launching in gujarat because you can find their network in gujarat ahmedabad. and i think uninor and docomo will be huge operator in gujarat to compete Idea, Airtel & vodafone, Videocon will not be big scenario changer & docomo is good but any how not launching their service in Ahmedabad economical capital of gujarat and another two big city like Baroda & Jamnagar. if they lunch faster than other than it will be good competition where customers will be befitted most

Dont know abt uninor but it cant compete with Idea. it takes nearly 3-4years for videocon to add upto 64 million customers & at tat time idea will be having more tan 100million
