For Best thing just make a special recharge of 246 from recharge outlet or do recharge throung online. In Online recharge go to 3g recharge there u can find and

The SmartLife Plans advt in the TD website is really a “laughing stock” s comic creature, standing on the wing of fired space shuttle, make blah..blah.. thru a megaphone (ha…ha..), may be addressing somebody (?) / .. smart Alec (?) living up above the sky ! Also see the other TV commercial wherein the same good old gentleman serving food into a plate with a “teaspoon” to the hungry guys! Well TD is doing same thing to its subscribers because hardly they have worth mentioning percentage of 3G network in major circles. Ironically, if I am correct, even in Mumbai they do not have 3G service! It seems the personnel in planning and marketing departments are standing back-to-back ! Tooditoo..too… Innovations going awry..! Priorities in reverse gear…!

dial *141*15#
after some time (5 mins) restart your mobile
it will deduct Rs 4 from your balance and will activate 3G.

ok did the Rs. 246 new offer finally…
simple process:-
1) call to 121 and asked to recharge with Rs. 246 special. they will cut from your balance Rs. 246 and credit Rs. 219 = Rs. 27 deduct only..
2) dial *141*15# and you will get 1 GB data and Rs. 4 deduct.
overall Rs.31 you will get 1GB data..
Rs. 219 balance is for life time and 1 GB 3G data for 30 days..

I have done recharge of 246 but i got old benefits only, the option of recharging with Ruppes 2 voucher is not available online. Have spoken to Tata Docomo Care, the concerned represenattive is not aware about anything like this.
Infact, i want to bring to notice the manipulating tactics used by tata, they change the plans when customer brings up an issue example in 209 plan, we are supposed to get 250 MB data, i did recharge but was charged so much for data, that my balance of 200 INR got over in 5 days, then customer care and technical team on my complaint changed the plan to not include data benefits

@Shaz can you please ask with your senior officer of tatadocomo, why TD stopped giving 3G network for those who activated 3G and dont have 3G plan? Here in our rural area near Mangalore there will be tower failure per 2-3 months at that time there will be no 2G network for about 10 days. That time i’ve used to switch to 3G network and complain to representatives. But now we have to go 10KM’s far and complain and come back or visit cybers although we have internet plan in mobile. And also we have to put costly Docomo 3G plan to try videocalls.

It is first RC246 [normal], then SRC2. Confirm before doing SRC2, coz yesterday in my mobile it shown as “RC246 and RC2 = 219TT & 1GB Data Valid for 30 days”. But, today, it was “RC246 and SRC2 = 219TT & 1GB Data Valid for 30 days”.

Why not give a try to Aircel 3G. They have some good offers. I liked this one Rs.17 with 100 MB valid for 3 days. Even if you buy 10 recharge cards, you will have 1 GB Data for Rs.170.

therein no other operator which include State Run BSNL/MTNL who can match the technology and services of NTT DOCOMO(Japanese) and TATA (highly placed in terms of Conforming to accepted standards of social or professional behaviour of ethics). None of Airtel, Idea and Vodafone can match the offerings and quality of services of Tata DOCOMO (TD). It will remain an open challenge to all customer to try and match the 3G services of TATA DOCOMO with any of the other 3G players/service providers in a given circle. “Pahle Istmal karein phir vishwaas karien” (first try and then believe). Smartlife Plan is really smart for customers. Virtually smart life plan offerings are almost 27 Rs./GB(as pointed out rightly by Telecomtalk Team). Great TD

Definitely this plan is not going to work for me as I use docomo only for Internet (I use data card) every time I can’t switch the SIM between phone and data card to make call or to connect the internet. now just for this I can’t even buy a new 3G cell too. they wold have given 1GB in Rs.100 or Rs. 150/-.

There is a good news for all the 3G Lovers who uses 3G services and also roam across the country there is something to Cheer now.
Tata Docomo Customer can now roam on Aircel 3G off-net roaming Effective Jan 2012. There is no change in customer tariff while roaming on other operator 3G network for voice/ sms & data Normal 2G roaming will apply on on-net and Off-net roaming.
This is a bilateral roaming not an ICR agreement for which DOT has opposed. Currently only few states have been covered under the first phase, as per our sources Tata will be launching its 3G bilateral roaming very shortly to other states also.
For example if a Tata customer from Gujarat is roaming in Andhra Pradesh Circle, Customer by default will be latched on to the Aircel network on 3G circle.
We would like to make it clear this is not ICRA Roaming its off-net roaming.
EFFECTIVE FROM JAN2012.

vodafone has 99% coverage at my home…..very bad docomo do something

Is there any other operator including State Run BSNL/MTNL who can match the technology and services of NTT DOCOMO(Japanese) and TATA (highly placed in terms of Conforming to accepted standards of social or professional behaviour of ethics). None of Airtel, Idea and Vodafone can match the offerings and quality of services of Tata DOCOMO (TD). It will remain an open challenge to all customer to try and match the 3G services of TATA DOCOMO with any of the other 3G players/service providers in a given circle. “Pahle Istmal karein phir vishwaas karien” (first try and then believe). Smartlife Plan is really smart for customers. Virtually smart life plan offerings are almost 27 Rs./GB(as pointed out rightly by Telecomtalk Team). Great TD. Keep it up. Great TT team keep it up for keeping the customers/readers well aware of the latest offers.

Nice move finally, but why include talktime in this, they could have given 1GB data directly for Rs27.
