Feku Modi didn’t consider health hazards of this installations in the midst of backwards class and poor population just for financiopolitical benefit from Reliance. When Adani Ambani earns at the cost of health of ignorant citizens, it will be considered as “vikas” – development.–Ridiculous

E Feku, Reliance the tere ko kitna paisa diya?

Wi-fi solutions were becoming more relevant for mobile phone companies as they entailed lower cost of deployment and rollouts compared with 3G and 4G networks that offer higher speeds while browsing the internet. While airwaves and mobile permits need to be bought for launching 3G and 4G services, wi-fi airwaves are free. Wi-fi hotspots ride on the fibre networks. All smartphones available in market today (some feature phones too)support wifi service.

I wish jio to launch wifi services pan india.and I believe it will be cheaper than mobile internet since they are not using spectrum.

  • rajesh choudhary February 28, 2014 10:53 pm

Only bad news from the bihar are published,

Actually this is working in 4 km area right now, from march extended till 20 km range

  • Vikas February 28, 2014 11:06 am

Now Kejriwal will question again relation with Reliance.

    • kaushik March 1, 2014 8:08 pm

first you will bear the brunt of high electricity bill frm april 1 and then you will realize :)

  • Vivek Bhalavat February 28, 2014 10:59 am

Well its surely welcoming news.. But have to check the service/coverage/speed and then only give any positive/negative comments. My experience with city wide WiFi is tragic. It has failed at most of the places and I hope Reliance Jio had cracked it right…

  • Chandra Sekhar Mandal February 28, 2014 10:28 am

Reliance Jio has the potential to be a game changer. Looking forward to it eagerly.

  • Raghuram February 28, 2014 9:49 am

  • Yogesh February 28, 2014 12:21 am

@ Bafna sir , wish you happy birthday. N thank you so much for this BEST website : Telecom Talk !

  • Aman Chauhan February 27, 2014 10:23 pm

about the wifi enable area.. i have a question…. connecting to to wifi at such a big network doesnt lead to unwanted threads (#regarding security concern). as we are on same lan. what u think guys??

    • Yogesh February 28, 2014 12:25 am

@AMAN, my personal experience : With pin code protection , can connect to only those who know pin n we can allow access to paired device only. So with pin no problem.

    • Mayank February 28, 2014 4:18 pm

If you concerned about privacy/security a lot. Then take a private VPN.

  • Yogesh February 27, 2014 9:05 pm

Bihar : Patna made history : Longest wifi enable area in world : 20KM : beat china which has 3.5 KM in beijing. 10 days back Mr. NitishKumar sir inaugurated it. Why it was not publish in Telecom talk ? All leading newspapers had published it. It is proud to be an Indian. Though i m from Maharashtra , i feel proud that Bihar created history , as i m an Indian first. Dear telecomtalk team plz ve an article about this too.
