India’s National telecom Backbone and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of Free SMS Alert on Customers Services of its Landline and Broadband Services in selected Telecom Districts or SSA in various telecom circles across India.
With the new service, BSNL landline subscriber can get Free SMS Alert on their BSNL or Non-BSNL Mobile numbers for Landline Invoice generated, Birthday/Anniversary Wishes, Land line’s Fault booking, Fault clearance, Payment Reminder (2 days before due date), 80% Broadband Usage alert for limited plans users and Payment acknowledgements.
Initially the SMS Alert Services are available in 19 Telecom districts named Bhubneshwar (Orissa), Bhopal (MP), Balasore, Dehradun (Uttranchal), Hyderabad, Hassan, Kodagu, Jammu, Kamrup (Assam), Kalyan (Maharashtra), Lucknow, Meeruth (UP) Jaipur (Rajasthan), Raipur (CG),Tejpur (Assam), Tuticorin, Tirunelvelli and Vellore (Tamilnadu).
Recently BSNL starts to upgrade its existing landlines Billing systems and commissioned new CDR based Customer Care and Convergent billing system to provide the new services on its PSTN networks. The new system will be able to offers various tariff plans and add-on services which are presently possible only in mobile services. The company also plans some new customized tariff plans which will be announced shortly.
How To Activate-:
To Activate the SMS Alert Service, BSNL Landline/Broadband subscribers in above City/SSA can send SMS to 09404001111, The SMS format is : <STD Code landline phone no>< space ><Account Number.> as printed on their BSNL landlines bill.
