When I subscribed to BSNL mobile pre paid 94442 40419 in March 2012, I was not aware of a plan called NESAM. Presently I have an Airtel service since 2004 with no restriction to time and amount and decided to go for an additional mobile with BSNL for very limited use by the family, already having BSNL land/unlimited broadband internet . I was surprised that my service has been discontinued.
I would like to know if I can change the plan with no restrictions and also keep the same number. Further, I am leaving for abroad in next few days and would be away till mid October. I find from your plan herein that I can subscribe minimum 200/ every six momths. So how come my service is discontinued after three months.

    NESAM-PREPAID PLAN
In the plan details mentioned , as though this palan is life tim validity, why there should be clause a minium topup for Rs.200/- every 6 months. This makes the validity for only 6 months not for life time. This clause should be removed- a suggestion only.

And i called up customer care and told. They told they will sms me and do favor. I called up 3 times and nothing happened. They are just fooling everyone.

Yes, you can convert your Post paid sim into Nesam pre paid plan without change of the number. You have to do is to fill up an application (the same for getting new Pre paid sim)and submit to the BSNL along with the photo proof and address proof. You will be converted to nesam plan. You have to pay Rs. 20 (for SIM) and Rs. 29 (for FRC). It will take hardly one day or so.

validity plan are not good, life time validity should be like, it is available in private operators, i.e. consolidated recharge of Rs. 200 within 6 months…
if any BSNL employee see it… u may tell ur higher management to make these changes in ur policies for better growth of BSNL.

In above plan Life Time Validity condition is applicable on consolidated recharge of Rs. 200 (MRP Rs. 220 and above) within 6 months as well as proportionately mention in the post. Subscriber can choose any recharge option for validity.

by consolidated i mean to say… person may recharge with Rs 10 in first month, then with Rs. 20 in second and rs 20 in thrid and then rs 100 in forth and with rs 2o in fifth and rs 30 in sixth month… consolidated rs 200 for 6 months.. like this…
