BSNL is running the show with “Baba Adam ke Zamane k” systems. Hence they face technical problems in implementing each and every new schemes. e.g. Those who have been issued Pyari jodi card in 9403 levels in Maharashtra will not be able to get new usim (with higher cap.128kb)very much suitable for 3g use. But will have to be contended with the use 3g through their old and existing sim which has lesser capacity. I was knocking the doors of BSNL for usim for my existing bsnl number at 9403 level, and lo ! I got pyari jodi too in the same level. I still wonder why can BSNL adopt changing technologies ? The concerned planners/marketers will have to change heir mindset the systems should be made amenable to changing needs else writings on wall is clear !

I have enjoyed their free trial offer for one month on 3G. Able to watch live TV with no disturbance/break in between. They will charge for data usage approx 1.5 mb/minute. A 100 mb will give a 1 hour live TV. Expensive, yet good experience with no doubt as our mobile plays like a TV on the move.

Land lines may not make free calls to particular no, as most of the switches are of 1990′s and not upgraded. they are billed in the conventional billing.

My plan is kolkata 99 which costs me rs. 124 to get 30 days validity and 50 rs. talktime. They have also another plan which is rs. 13 where I can get 7 days validity with zero balance. Now if I recharge 13 rs. into 4 times and also recharge with a 55 rs. talktime then it costs me 107 rs. (124-13*4-55)=17. So I can save 17 rs. Per month. It is great 4 me. But I want to know are bsnl guys gonna mad?

It’s a good plan and good plan always hits the market in India.

If analyzed we can see that the achievement of BSNL is not remarkable. It has got nearly 28 million landline subscribers. But, the mobile connections it has earned on this accont is just 1 million! and 65% of the achievement is from Kerala circle. BSNL has to go miles to market this plan among landline subscribers. This mighty company fails even in intimating this offer to the people available in their roll. In Kerala each and every landline subscriber was informed about the plan through various means like IVRS, messages with monthly bills, press releases, etc. All these efforts yielded a very good result. BSNL WILL FLOURISH ONLY IF IT IMPROVE ITS MARKETING AREA.

ya it’s right… by considering these its too costly in india…. but even in real terms consider the price of some food stuffs or anything like nutella or cheese anything is costly in india compared to uae… india is taxing heavily on each items that we purchase….
Manoj Abhigyan December 2, 2010 at 3:27 pm
You said it right. We often forget other factors like GDP, PCI, PPP etc when compare call rates.
dskushwaha December 2, 2010 at 3:10 pm
If cost of SMS in US is about 9 times that of in India (Rs. 1 for National SMS.) and in UAE it is 2.2 times..
The see this:
(GDP) at purchasing power parity (PPP) per capita in US $ of
India: 3,015
USA: 45,934 (15 times that of India)
UAE: 36,843 (12 times that of India)
again a cup of coffee costs in US$ in:
India: 0.12 to 0.21
USA: 0.79 to 1.50 (7 times that in India)
So think again who is spending more for call/SMS, a citizen of India or that of US
dskushwaha December 2, 2010 at 2:47 pm
That means average 723 kbps.
Hari Shanker December 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm

BSNL is No:1 Service provider in Kerala. They are working like a MNC company in Kerala with good coverage. In other states services are very poor. The results shows that.
sathish December 2, 2010 at 1:02 pm
So that, In this price Sensitive and highly competitive market
BSNL got Two-in-One benefits by giving this plan
1. 20,06,411 BSNL Land lines are may be delay /escaped from surrender.
2. 20,06,411 new BSNL mobile connections
PD December 2, 2010 at 12:53 pm
The PSU always come up with plans with bit of stupidity attached. One can make free calls from the one of the jodi (sic), i.e. cell to the registered L-Line. Why can it make free both ways ? By restricting the free facility to cell from L-line is BSNL benefited or have take the loss ? In reality No. By this arrangements, it is only making the overburdened and equipment-strapped system still congested (Aami dilgir ahoot, anhim dilgir ahoot ). Now caller from the L-line, to save charge, have to give a mis-call to the the jodi number from which one, in turn, will make another call to establish a free connectivity !
Further it is only numbers that matters then OK !

Aircel’s EDGE Rocks in My Mobile With My Opera Mini Browser. I Can Able to Download a 5.3MB Of Data in a Minute
A Mohapatra December 2, 2010 at 12:41 pm
The Data for Odisha provided by BSNL is totally inaccurate. Coz, on one particular day(November 5), I have seen 20-30 people applying for Pyari Jodi scheme in Office of GMTD, BSNL, Bhubaneswar. So, by now there must be atleast some hundred connections.
Benny December 2, 2010 at 11:11 am
One might think 200 sms is less. But actually i found it more than enough
In this age of Facebbok who wants to chat on sms…..
ATT in US charges 20 cents (Rs 9) per national sms and a 200 sms pack costs $4.99/month (Rs 225)
In UAE a 60 sms pack costs around Rs 100 and rate per sms is 18 fils (Rs 2.20)
So we are lucky to be having such cheap tariff and have 200 sms bundle free of charge
mayur December 2, 2010 at 11:04 am
bsnl plz give cheap a broadband plan with 2mbps speed and thanx for giving home unlimited offer…
Keshav Jha December 2, 2010 at 11:03 am
BSNL sirf 1 no. pe call karwana chahta hai kya? STV ke price kam kyon nahin kar raha hai.
Benny December 2, 2010 at 10:55 am
In Tamil Nadu this plan is called ‘En Nanban Super’ meaning ‘my friend’…. Bought this in october and i should say its extremely useful for me.
Unlimited calls to one land line for lifetime, 200 national/local sms free per month without any packs, 30p/min to 2 other BSNL numbers and per second billing. Cost of usage is very less but i would recommend this only if u want that free 200 nation n local sms and also have a land line to call every now and then.
Nice offer by BSNL to save its Landline department
Webly December 2, 2010 at 10:29 am
not bad………
Raj December 2, 2010 at 10:05 am
Great offer this from BSNL but would love to see unlimited calls to BSNL mobile like Aircel 77 Plan……
