BSNL READY TO LAUNCH 20 MBPS BROADBAND

bsnl-broadbandIndia’s largest telecom and broadband  service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is geared up to provide more speedy broadband internet service with its PSTN network with the new expansion phase.

BSNL will deploy UTStarcom’s  B1000 multi-service access node (MSAN) solution throughout India to add approximately 475,000 ports of capacity to its existing broadband network, allowing additional subscribers to experience triple-play services.

BSNL and UTStarcom have extended their existing partnership to cover BSNL’S newly planned multiplay broadband network expansion.Under the terms of the agreement, UTStarcom will be responsible for network design, planning, and deployment.BSNL Subscribers with local loop access will be able to reach Internet speeds up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps) at very affordable cost.

    its the time to provide 3/4 Mbps speed & for unlimited home users it should be 784kbps to 1Mbps at least with reduction in monthly rental

    guys ,come on , bsnl is not giving this bandwidth to home users in near future !! … their basic plans comes wth 256kbps -2mbps speed ! .. so they can upgrade to 4mbps or 8mbps right now ! …. this 20mbps will be for business/educational inst. !!

    20 MBPS super speed BSNL is all we need……20 MBPS will surely come at a monthly price of around Rs.1200-1500 per month with UL download facility..At present UL is available with Rs.750/month with 2 MBPS…..So with BSNL full transperency…..Only BSNL does when others fail to deliver..Kudos
