Xiaomi had an eventful first half of 2017. The company made its presence at the CES 2017 with a handful of launches, and they announced the flagship Xiaomi Mi 6 in April in their homeland China, followed by the launch of Xiaomi Mi Max 2 in May. And in India though, the company has launched a new budget Redmi phone every other month and is cooking something for this month as well, possibly the Mi Max 2 itself.
Before the Xiaomi Mi 6 launch, rumours were rife that the Apple of China would launch two smartphones- the standard Mi 6 and a bigger Mi 6 Plus. Eventually, that didn't happen, and the company announced only the standard variant of Mi 6. However, Xiaomi is said to launch the Mi 6 Plus variant sometime later, and it seems like the device will be unveiled tomorrow in China.
Xiaomi is teasing a new smartphone in China to be unveiled on July 11 (tomorrow). The teaser claims that the device will sport 6GB of RAM. There are many Xiaomi smartphones available in the market right now with 6GB of RAM, but what will Xiaomi unveil tomorrow is the much-anticipated question.
Just after releasing the teaser image, Xiaomi released a small teaser video of the product, highlighting the features of the device. The product which Xiaomi will announce tomorrow will be powered by the Snapdragon 800 chipset, could be the Snapdragon 835 processor.
Also, the video highlights the 3D glass design in the product, which is one of the major aspects of the Xiaomi Mi 6. This possibly confirms that the device they're going to launch will be the Mi 6 Plus with upgraded specifications of Mi 6.
The teaser video also revealed that the smartphone would have UFS storage and DDR4 RAM. The device will sport a 22MP camera at the back, which can also record 4K videos. A 4000mAh battery backs the entire package, and the handset will have support for Quick Charge and NFC support. An IR Blaster can also be present at the top of the phone.
That said, all these specifications could be of the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus because these are rumoured earlier as well. Will Xiaomi launch the Mi 6 Plus tomorrow in China or is Xiaomi planning for another flagship phone? All details will be revealed tomorrow once Xiaomi launches the device officially.
