Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Flame Red Specifications and Features
Besides the new paint job, Xiaomi did not modify the specifications of the handset. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Redmi Note 5 in China is also available in other options- 3GB/32GB and 6GB/64GB. Xiaomi, for some unknown reasons, did not launch the 3GB/32GB variant of the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India.

Optics in the Redmi Note 5 include a 12MP primary shooter on the rear, which works in tandem with a 5MP secondary depth sensor. Up front, there's a 13MP selfie camera, unlike the 20MP shooter present on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The camera app comes packed with a lot of AI features.

The smartphone offers dual 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and a micro USB port at the bottom. The dual 4G functionality has been added to the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India as well with a software update. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery, same as the Note 5 Pro, but the Chinese variant has support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, which the Indian variant lacks. The device's running MIUI 9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
