Xiaomi Mi Mouse Pad and Mi Smart Mouse Pad With Smoother Surface and Wireless Charging Launched

The Chinese OEM, Xiaomi has launched two new products. After introducing a host of new products aimed at the gaming community like the VR headset and a gaming smartphone, Xiaomi has now launched two new mousepads. The first one being the Xiaomi Mi Mouse Pad and the second one being Xiaomi Mi Smart Mouse Pad. While the first Mouse Pad by Xiaomi is a relatively simple device and has been particularly designed keeping gamers in mind, the Smart Mouse Pad comes with much more functionalities. The Smart Mouse Pad features Wireless Charging support and RGB lighting effects to name a few features. Both the models of Mouse Pad have gone live for sale in China with a starting price of CNY 49 (approx. Rs 500).

The latter mentioned one, the Mi Smart Mouse Pad has been claimed to win the German Dot Design Award in 2018. The device also comes with a Qi Wireless Charging module like we mentioned. The mousepad has capability to charge both phones and mouse, depending on the compatibility. Besides delivering a charging capacity of 75%, the mousepad features a temperature control technology which shuts off charging once the phone is fully charged. An inbuilt chip in the mousepad also renders that it's capable of recognising whether the device put on it is rechargeable. Xiaomi has claimed that the mousepad will be able to charge the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, one of the few phones in the market which currently supports Qi wireless charging standard.

To change the lighting mode on the Mi Smart Mouse Pad, the device offers an aluminium alloy knob on the top right side. While rotating it, users can change the colours and choose from 16.8 million choices. Also, the device pairs with a computer via Bluetooth, using which users will be able to control the volume.

Xiaomi has also claimed that the coating on the Mi Smart Mouse Pad will offer a smoother surface to the users, which will also be more accurate. The mouse-pad measures 420x260mm in dimension, and it also has an option of anti-slip TPU mat. On Xiaomi's YouPin e-commerce site, the device is available for CNY 259 (approx. Rs 2,700).

The next accessory, which is the Mi Mouse Pad has been developed keeping gamers in mind. This mousepad promises improved sensor performance and mouse speed tracking. To avoid shaking during use, the device also comes with a suction cup to hold it in one place. In dimensions, the mousepad measures 355x255x2.35mm and weighs 196 grams. On the Xiaomi YouPin site, this mousepad is available at a starting price of CNY 49 (approx. Rs 500).
