India's leading smartphone and TV brand, Xiaomi has announced the launch of the Mi Express Kiosk initiative across India. These new Mi Express Kiosks are unique vending machines which will allow the consumers and Mi Fans to purchase Xiaomi smartphones and mobile accessories directly. The best part about the Mi Express Kiosks is that they are designed to accept all forms of payment including credit cards, debit cards, cash and UPI. With these machines, customers will simply be able to approach them and buy a new Xiaomi product within minutes, without any hassle.




First Express Kiosk Set Up in Bangalore

Xiaomi in its announcement said that the introduction of these new vending machines also marks a new retail strategy in reaching out to its consumers directly, eliminating operational and cost inefficiencies for the consumers. The company also said that similar to Mi Homes and Mi.com, these new Express Kiosks will be able to avail Xiaomi smartphones and other gadgets at honest pricing. The first of the Express Kiosks was introduced today in Bangalore.

It is worth noting that with this unique introduction, Xiaomi India has become the first ever brand in the Indian tech industry to introduce this innovative retail model. The best part about this implementation is that it also offers the efficiency of e-commerce business making it a cost-effective approach and is scalable. Xiaomi also highlighted the fact that all the technology equipping Mi Express Kiosks has been researched and developed in India, further extending the brand's commitment to India.

In the coming months, Xiaomi has announced that it will be setting up more such Mi Express Kiosks across the country to expand its retail strategy. These Mi Express Kiosks will be strategically located in public places with high footfalls like tech parks, metro stations, airports, and shopping malls. Xiaomi has also said that soon these will be installed in metro cities and customers will be able to access the information on these kiosks like their location easily through mi.com

Xiaomi's Major Releases this Year and its Increased Prominence

In the past few years, Xiaomi has established clear dominance in the Indian market and has also gone on to become the biggest smartphone brand in the country. The brand's value and retail reach only seems to be growing since Xiaomi used to operate on an online-only manner until a few years back, but now the brand also has offline stores as well. In the past few days, the brand has also brought some of the major smartphone titles to India including the Redmi 7, the Redmi Y3 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Similarly, Xiaomi is going to be bringing some new phones in the market in the upcoming months like Mi A3, Poco F2 and more which a lot of customers are already eyeing.
