Postpaid War: Vodafone India Revises Entry-Level RED Tariff Plans With 100% More Data Benefit

Vodafone India has responded to Jio's aggressive foray into the postpaid segment by increasing data benefit of the existing RED range of postpaid plans. Alongside that, Vodafone also started offering Amazon Prime membership with all the RED postpaid plans. These plans are already live for all the existing subscribers where Vodafone is offering 4G services, and customers will be automatically migrated with the new plans. Furthermore, Vodafone also introduced Bill Guarantee for free of cost, and of course, all the plans are promised to offer additional benefits such as Vodafone Play, Amazon Prime subscription, Mobile Shield, Netflix and Red Hot Deals.

Vodafone RED Entertainment 399 Plan
Vodafone's entry-level plan is still the Rs 399 one, but it now offers 100% more data- 40GB, up from the earlier 20GB data benefit. The plan also comes with data rollover benefit and a customer can store up to 200GB. The Rs 399 plan also offers unlimited voice calls even on roaming, and it's also eligible for Bill Guarantee. Furthermore, Vodafone is also offering free Vodafone Play subscription, Amazon Prime subscription for one year and Red Hot Deals; All these come under Additional Benefits category and are worth Rs 1,498.

Vodafone RED Entertainment+ 499 Plan
Vodafone also revised the Rs 499 plan, which now gives 75GB of data, up from the earlier 40GB data benefit. A user can store up to 200GB data in his account and it also gives unlimited voice calls even on roaming. Alongside the Vodafone Play, Amazon Prime and Red Hot Deals, Vodafone is also providing Red Mobile Shield benefits with this plan.

Vodafone RED-International R 1299 Plan
Moving onto the international plans, this Rs 1299 plan offers 100GB of data benefit per month with 500GB data rollover option. It also offers unlimited national voice calls even on roaming and 100 ISD minutes. This plan is also eligible for Bill Guarantee and also offers additional benefits worth Rs 5,498. This plan also gives Netflix subscription worth Rs 1,000 for two months.

Vodafone RED-International L 1999 Plan
Next on the list, we have the Rs 1,999 plan from Vodafone which now offers 200GB data per month and 500GB data rollover option. This plan also provides a user unlimited voice calls without any limit in India and 200 ISD minutes. Users will also receive Netflix subscription worth Rs 1,500 for three months along with Amazon Prime, Vodafone Play and other additional benefits worth Rs 5,998.

Vodafone RED-Signature L 2999 Plan
Lastly, we have the Rs 2,999 plan which now gives a user 300GB of data along with 500GB of data rollover option. Customers will also get 200 minutes of ISD calling and unlimited national calling. With this plan, Vodafone is giving 12 months of free Netflix subscription worth Rs 6,000 to the users. The International and Signature plans did not receive and data benefit hike, but they now come with additional benefits such as Amazon Prime and RED Hot Deals.

Vodafone has reduced the number of postpaid plans to just five from the earlier seven. All the five plans offer Amazon Prime subscription and free Vodafone Play subscription, while the plans from Rs 499 also provides RED Shield membership.
