Vodafone Idea (Vi) has just announced the integration of Vi Movies & TV with the Vi app. For the unaware, Vi Movies & TV is an over-the-top (OTT) platform developed by Vodafone Idea that is offered to the users when they purchase a prepaid or a postpaid plan from the company. There are different subscription tiers of Vi Movies & TV offered to the users with different kinds of plans. Post the integration, Vodafone Idea users can now directly access Vi Movies & TV content from the Vi mobile application.

Vodafone Idea Mobile App Doubled as OTT Service

Until now, Vi app was used by the users to recharge their mobile numbers or purchase a new service from the company. But now, the Vi app will double as an OTT service for the users when they want to consume entertainment content and will still allow them to recharge their numbers and change plans.

Vi app users will now be able to access more than 450 live TV channels which include the likes of Zee Cinema, Zee TV, Colors HD, Zee Bangla, Discovery, Colors Infinity, MTV, History TV, Animal Planet, Nick, SunTV, and more via Vi Movies & TV app.

There will also be live news channels such as India TV, NDTV 24x7, Aaj Tak, ABP News, CNN News, and many more. Users will also be able to consume content from premium OTT applications such as Discovery+, Voot Select, Lionsgate Play, SunNxt, ShemarooMe, and more.

Note that the integrated experience is only live for Android users as of now. The company is already working on the app for rolling it out for iOS users. The application is available on the Play Store for Android users and the App Store for iOS users. This is a great move from Vi since now users won’t have to keep different applications for recharging and watching OTT.
