Vodafone India, the country's second-largest telecom network has come up with yet another initiative to counterattack Bharti Airtel and its free data for postpaid users. Airtel recently offered free data for all its postpaid customers for being titled as India's fastest network. Now, we have an exclusive information saying that Vodafone will also be offering free data for its postpaid users in coming days.
According to our sources, Vodafone's offering will be called as 'Vodafone Delights.' Under the new scheme, Vodafone will offer free data in two variants- 8GB and 3GB. And it ultimately depends on your luck as Vodafone will be choosing customers for each variant.
So, there are some catches with this offer as well. Under variant 1, Vodafone will be offering 8GB of data, and if you're a Vodafone RED postpaid customer, you can avail the free data in any phone. If you're not a Vodafone RED postpaid consumer, you'll need a 4G handset to claim the free data.
Speaking about the other variant, the 3GB data one, it also follows the same rules as the previous. For Vodafone RED postpaid user, the data can be availed on any phone, whereas non-Vodafone RED customer must have a 4G handset and must be Vodafone postpaid customer for at least 12 months to claim the free data.
That said, the best part of this free data offer is the validity of three months. Same as Airtel, Vodafone is offering the 8GB/3GB per month for three months. Having said that, users can claim the free data from MyVodafone app.
There is no FUP limit for the free data you receive as well. Also, this free data offer is not valid for Vodafone RED Family postpaid customers. Vodafone postpaid customers will be notified via an SMS along with the offer link that directs to the amazing offer section in the MyVodafone app.
To recall, Bharti Airtel recently gifted free data ranging from 6GB to 30GB for three months for all its postpaid subscribers and to tackle its rival, Vodafone has come up with this new Vodafone Delights program. Currently, we don't have any information on when this free data program will go live.
