Location for Low-Latency Connectivity

Initially opened in 2022, Telehouse South aims to provide a total of up to 18 MW across more than 4,000 racks in the building upon full development. Telehouse noted that the facility's location near the City and Canary Wharf allows for low-latency connectivity to London's financial sector, supported by a network of 7,000 dark fibers across two diverse routes linking it to four other Telehouse data centers.

Telehouse Europe said, "The opening of two additional floors at Telehouse South marks another significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to meeting the capacity demands of the market and providing unrivalled connectivity services. As businesses continue to navigate the complexities of digital transformation, Telehouse remains dedicated to delivering secure, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure solutions that empower our customers to thrive in today's dynamic environment, while meeting their scalability and connectivity needs of tomorrow."

Renewable Energy and Sustainability

Telehouse South is powered by 100 percent renewable energy procured from certified wind, solar, biomass, and hydro generators. The company added that its new intelligent control system will optimise energy efficiency by utilising higher water temperatures in its cooling system to reduce power demand.

Additionally, Telehouse plans to recycle waste heat from the system to provide low-carbon heating to nearby homes and businesses.
