Tata Sky Room TV Service Allows Users to Select Different Channels on Secondary Connection

Tata Sky has made a major change to its Multi TV policy earlier this year by removing it entirely. Later on, the DTH operator came up with a new service called ‘Room TV’ which replaced the company’s Multi TV policy that was in place for several years. Under the Tata Sky Room TV service, subscribers with multiple Tata Sky connections will now be charged separate NCF for every connection, and at the same time, Tata Sky is allowing the users to choose different channels on secondary connections as well. Earlier, it was not the case as Tata Sky subscribers were forced to watch the channels only selected on the primary connection, but that has changed now. Also, Tata Sky has now removed HD access fee under the new tariff mandate which became fully effective from April 1. The Room TV service is extremely useful for those who had a lot of channels on the primary connection, but for some, it’s disappointing as they’ll have to pay Rs 153 every month as NCF charges.

Tata Sky Room TV Service: How is it Different from Multi TV Policy?

According to Tata Sky, the new Room TV service aims to make it more feasible for subscribers to choose packs for their secondary connections. All they have to do is to log into their account via the app or website and follow the steps which according to Tata Sky are easy to deal with. For the unaware, Tata Sky users in the past had to pay huge amount for secondary connections as the company did not allow them to modify the channel pack compared to the likes of Airtel Digital TV and Dish TV.
