Tata Elxsi RDK Prime Suite now on Ultra HD Set-Top-Box Askey platform

Tata Elxsi, the leading global design and technology Services Company has licensed its RDK Deployment Accelerator Suite (Prime) to Askey today. Tata Elxsi is showcasing its RDK suite Prime on Askeys’ STB platform at the CES 2016.

“Tata Elxsi is proud to announce the launch of its RDK Prime solutions on Askey platforms. This will enable operators in driving scale for RDK deployments in an optimal manner”, said KP Sreekumar, VP Broadcast Business, Tata Elxsi.




Tata Elxsi’s RDK Prime accelerates the deployment of interactive TV applications for MSOs. It integrates quickly customizable applications and has features like ready-to-go cloud backend integration, adaptive streaming for multi-screen consumption and an off-the-shelf app store. All these features enable the operators to reduce the time to roll out RDK.

Prime promises a sub 500 milli sec channel change performance, which implies that the operators will be able to deliver an unmatched experience with RDK. Integrated with most popular IoT frameworks, Prime enables operators to launch value-added services and quickly monetize their investments. Tata Elxsi’s RDK Prime is pre-integrated with robust DVB stack, enabling RDK deployments in Europe.
