TATA Docomo has silently revised its 2G and 3G data pack in Kerala circle. Available data for certain packs were reduced by up to 50% complimenting with increased validity for certain packs. The move comes after Airtel and Idea reducing data/validity for its 3G offering recently.
Tata Docomo New 3G data packs
The basic pack of Rs 8 now gives only 40Mb instead of 50MB earlier. Rs 18 pack data has been drastically reduced from 150MB earlier to just 80MB. Similarly Rs 91 600MB pack was reduced to 300MB, while validity has been increased to 30 days from current 21 days. Higher denomination 3G data pack remains unchanged. It also worth to mention that for Rs 39 pack, data has been increased slightly to 175MB from existing 150MB with 7 days validity.
Tata Docomo New 2G data packs
Inline with 3G data revision Docomo has made changes to its 2G data packs also. Rs 16 pack now only gives 80MB instead of 120MB earlier and Rs 37 reduced to 200MB from 300MB earlier. Similarly Rs 69 pack offer 350MB instead of 500MB and Rs 95 pack reduced to 600Mb from 750MB. Some data packs has been discontinued with this revision, which include Rs 126 1GB and Rs 77 750MB packs with validity of 21 days.
We have already witnessed several hikes in 2G data packs last year. But now operators are turning towards 3G data packs revision to increase their revenue.
