Skype users in India can now make free calls to the US and Canada till March 2015

Soon after announcing the real-time Translator Preview Program, Skype has now come up with this limited time offer, which enables Skype users in India to call any landline or mobile number in the US or Canada completely free of cost.

The offers stands open for both the new and existing Skype users in India until March 1, 2015 (11:59 pm IST). The statement on the Skype India homepage says,”Yes, that’s right - for a limited time only all calls from India to mobiles and landlines in the United States and Canada are completely free. And you don’t even need to do anything other than start calling." The offer is an attempt to encourage more users for using Skype services in India.

This offer by Skype is in line with the recent announcement of Microsoft amalgamating with Amazon India in order to sell its variety of hardware and software products online. The Microsoft Brand Store at Amazon covers a wide product range such as Windows, Windows Phone, Laptops & Tablets, Office, Accessories to Xbox. Until now, Microsoft was selling devices through its dealers network, except for the software like Windows, Office, Visual Studio and more, which were being sold online since a long time.
