And for the pre-order users, Samsung is offering a one-time free screen replacement (much needed one) and a free wireless convertible charger. Another major announcement made by the company alongside the Note 8 is that the Samsung Bixby voice will be rolled out in India starting September 30.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a 6.3-inch QHD+ display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. It is the same Infinity Display seen on the Galaxy S8 and S8+. It is powered by the Exynos 8895 SoC, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There's a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Note 8 comes with dual cameras at the back- one with f/1.7 aperture and the other one with the telephoto lens. There's a depth mode as well. Also, both the sensors are Optically imaged Stabilized. Up front, the Note 8 comes with an 8MP front-facing camera.

The Galaxy Note 8 also features S-Pen, which is now an advanced one ever. The smartphone is IP68 certified and even has wireless charging support. The smartphone still runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and has a 3300mAh battery.

“Galaxy Note8 with its stunning Infinity Display enhanced S Pen and a true Dual Camera is designed for those who want to do bigger things. At Samsung, we listen to our consumers and bring in meaningful innovations that help make their lives better. With this launch, Samsung will further consolidate its leadership in the premium smartphone segment in India,” said Mr Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Business, Samsung India.

Along with the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung also announced 'Samsung Upgrade' program, where Samsung users will get the best value when they exchange their old Samsung smartphone to purchase the Galaxy Note 8. Also, HDFC Credit users can avail cashback of Rs. 4,000 with the purchase of Note 8. And Reliance Jio is offering up to 448GB of additional data over the next eight months for JioPrime members.
