Reliance Jio Smartphone

Reliance Jio is very aggressive with its plans and strategies to acquire customers. The company is looking to acquire more subscribers by selling them smartphones with exclusive benefits. Reliance Jio is partnering up with major mobile brands to launch ‘Jio Exclusive’ smartphones. These smartphones will be locked with Jio SIM cards and will offer users exclusive benefits worth between Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000.




According to an ET Telecom report, UBS said that with these smartphone offers, Jio would be tightening its grip on the mid-range segment consumers. Further, the company will be selling its POS devices to retailers, which will help it in strengthening its commerce reach.

Reliance Jio Partnering Up With Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, HMD Global and More

Reliance Jio is said to be signing reverse handset bundling partnerships with smartphone brands such as Oppo, HMD Global (Nokia), Vivo, iTel, Samsung, Xiaomi, and more. UBS said that this strategy of the company is to increase its subscriber base aggressively. It will be a compliment to the company’s strategy of coming out with the JioPhone Next on September 10, 2021.

These Jio SIM locked phones would help the company in increasing its subscriber base very easily. Further, with the help of the POS devices, Jio will be able to maximise its sales from offline stores. These POS devices are said to offer exclusive discounts to customers.

The ‘Jio Exclusive’ phones are said to come with price support for up to 6 months and offer additional benefits to the users (Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000). It will also boost the company's ambitions of driving up its digital app consumption and revenues. Jio will be able to offer a host of other benefits to the users on these Jio SIM locked phones. This is to incentivise the 3G and 2G subscribers in the country to shift to 4G networks of Jio.
