India's largest telecommunications service provider, Reliance Jio, has announced a series of proactive measures to reinforce its commitment to providing uninterrupted connectivity during Cyclone Dana. Jio has opened Intra-Circle Roaming (ICR) services in collaboration with other telecom service providers to ensure continuous network access for customers, especially during emergencies.

ICR and Backup Power
By enabling ICR, Jio users can automatically connect to alternative available networks, maintaining connectivity and service. Jio also stated that backup power has been secured for sites across various locations, ensuring service remains uninterrupted even during power outages.
Restoration Teams on Standby
Additionally, Jio's restoration teams are on standby to address any emergencies. These teams are prepared to respond swiftly to network issues, minimising downtime and restoring services as quickly as possible.

Jio 24 by 7 war room
In further preparation, Jio said it has established a 24 by 7 war room to monitor the network's performance in real-time. Other private operators, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea, have also announced proactive measures to ensure uninterrupted connectivity during Cyclone Dana.
