Earlier this year, Qualcomm announced their first high-end 64-bit mobile SoC, the Snapdragon 810. During the initial announcement, Qualcomm stated that it would come with inbuilt 4G LTE Cat. 6 radios, but according to a new report from Fudzilla, Qualcomm has updated the Snapdragon 810 SoC with LTE Cat. 9 connectivity, resulting into a theoretical data download speeds of up to 450Mbps (as opposed to 300Mbps under LTE Cat. 6) and an uplink speed of 50Mbps.

The Snapdragon 810 is said to be undergoing testing in the UK with the help of Huawei and EE network. Most of the flagship smartphones, which will be announced next year will be equipped with the Snapdragon 810 SoC.

Even Samsung is readying on its own SoC, the Exynos 7420 chipset with LTE Cat. 9, but unlike the Snapdragon 810, it will come with double the upload speed with a data speed of 100Mbps. MediaTek's upcoming high-end 64-bit processing chipset, the MT6795 lacks an inbuilt 4G LTE modem.
