Tencent has announced the next major upgrade for the Battle Royale game, PUBG Mobile, which will bring on-board the version 0.12. Tencent has said that it will roll out the update next week. Looking at the previous pattern of updates from Tencent to PUBG Mobile, we can expect the new one to arrive on April 16, with the downtime hitting the game a day before the update. Just like it is the case with other PUBG Mobile updates, this one has its highlight too which will be the Darkest Night mode. In the darkest night mode, players will be able to go solo or fight off the zombie hordes in a team with the poison gas and only 30 minutes to escape.

Addition of Toxic Gas and Darkest Night Mode

As per the update patch notes of the upcoming 0.12 update for PUBG Mobile, the game will get the Survive Till Dawn 2.0, the next iteration to the PUBG Mobile and Resident Evil 2 partnership wherein players will be able to see a revamped game mode with new terrifying ghouls, and ballistic weaponry which will make the gameplay more eerie. The Darkest Night addition in the PUBG Mobile 0.12 update will mean that players will be able to drop-in solo or in teams to fight off the undead invasion and toxic gas until evacuation.

We will also see the introduction of the Spectator mode, as players will be able to observe the live action by spectating the matches of their friends, Crew and clan members. The new updates gameplay will also include options to modify the crosshair to your liking. The red dot, holographic, 2x scope and 3x scopes will be adjustable with different colours, along with multiple shape variants of the red-dot circle.

A lot of players of the PUBG Mobile have been waiting for the fix to the door glitch, however, to the disappointment of these users, Tencent has not rolled out a patch for this glitch yet so we will have to wait for the glitch to be solved in the next update.

No Features Related to Responsible Gameplay

Interested players of PUBG Mobile will be able to download the update from the link given by Tencent. In a related development, there has been no hint towards a feature in this update which points towards Tencent’s statement regarding responsible playing and limited playtime for underage players following the arrest of a few players in certain cities of India after the game was banned.

In its last update, Tencent has also brought a slew of leaked features like the PUBG Mobile Prime and Prime Plus subscription, dynamic weather to Miramar and Erangel and more. Tencent has also apparently made a change in how items are earned saying that players will receive vouchers in the game's shop in case they don't win items above a certain quality a specific number of times in a row.
