Panasonic P90 Entry-Level Smartphone With 1GB of RAM Launched at Rs 5,599

Panasonic, the Japanese electronics company has announced the expansion of its product lineup in India with the new addition- Panasonic P90. The P90 is an entry-level smartphone from the company and joins other P series smartphones in the country. The smartphone will be available in three colour options- Blue, Gold and Black at Rs 5,599. The USP of the smartphone is it comes with Gorilla Glass protection, which is an unknown feature in this price range. Also, it's an offline-only model and can be picked from any of the retail stores nearby you starting today. Panasonic is also touting the camera features on the P90.

"Post our association with Corning, we are happy to launch another P-series device, P90, with Corning Gorilla Glass protection which will keep the device protected from all damage and scratches. The stylish device is launched to target the youth, letting them explore the new innovation and technology," said Pankaj Rana, Business Head, Mobility Division, Panasonic India.

Panasonic P90 Specifications and Features
The Panasonic P90 is a better version of the Panasonic P95 which was unveiled a few weeks back at Rs 4,990. The P90 sports a 5-inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. The display also has a 2.5D curved glass on top, and it's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology, but Panasonic did not reveal the version of the protective glass though. Under the hood, it has the MediaTek MT6737 chipset, clubbed with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

Panasonic has also added a microSD card slot with which users can expand the storage up to 128GB. Optics wise, the Panasonic P90 has a 5MP shooter on the back and a 5MP shooter on the front. Both the cameras offer an LED flash. As mentioned, Panasonic is touting a lot about the cameras on the P90 as the company has equipped various modes to the camera application. The P90's camera app offers various modes such as Zero Shutter Delay, Beauty mode and Panorama mode.

The handset boots Android Nougat out of the box with Smart Action and Smart Gestures features. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a micro USB port with USB OTG support. The phone is backed by a 2400mAh battery and measures 9.3mm in thickness. The Panasonic P90 offers all the basic sensors such as the accelerometer, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor.
