Chinese company OnePlus is now rolling out a new OxygenOS Open Beta 3 update to the OnePlus 5T with bug fixes and a special SMS categorisation function for the Indian users. Also, the company removed the Clipboard application, which was recently claimed to be sending users personal data to the Chinese servers. OnePlus promised of removing the Clipboard application, and it did so rightly. This new beta update is rolling out to all the Open Beta users for the OnePlus 5T users.

Talking about the new features introduced in this latest update, there’s a new phone pickup gesture switcher. This is one of the highly requested feature by several smartphone users. OnePlus is now allowing users to choose which way to slide (up or down) to pick up an incoming phone call. Google allows Android OEMs to modify this feature and most of them modify it. Some brands choose the swipe up to lift the call while some brands implemented swipe down to lift the call. And some brands also implemented swipe right to lift a phone call.

OnePlus says it has addressed all the general bug fixes and improved the system performance. The company also stated it had added new navigation gestures, but we’re not sure how they work.

And lastly, the company has introduced a new India-specific feature called SMS categorisation function. After updating, Messages on your smartphone will be auto-sorted into categories. This feature is already present on Xiaomi’s MIUI and also in a couple of other Android skins too.

Here’s the official changelog for the update:
