One Albania, a telecommunications provider in Albania, has bolstered its network infrastructure to accommodate the increase in data traffic during the peak summer season. With a 40 percent rise in data usage compared to last year, driven by both local users and a record number of international tourists, the company said it is prepared to meet the demand.

Network Expansion
"Over 95,000 visitors have joined the One Albania network in the last two weeks alone. Our team has worked intensively to ensure that the One network not only meets but also exceeds the expectations of local users, as well as international visitors," said One Albania.
Preparing for 5G
To manage the surge, One Albania has expanded its network coverage, particularly in popular coastal areas and the Llogara tunnel. The company is also laying the groundwork for 5G, which will deliver data speeds of up to 2.5 Gbps per user.
Upgrades to Fixed Network Infrastructure
In addition to mobile network improvements, One Albania said it has also upgraded its fixed network infrastructure. This year alone, 30,000 households have gained Fiber to the Home (FTTH) access, and 35,000 outdated copper lines have been replaced with high-speed fiber, supporting Albania's ongoing digital transformation.
