MTNL OFFERS FREE STD FACILITY TO LANDLINE CUSTOMERS IN MUMBAI

NOW STD CALL FACILITY IS FREE FOR MTNL LANDLINE USERS

Mumbai’s largest Landline and Broadband service provider, Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) , today removed the barrier of STD facility from its Landline service. In an attempt to provide seamless National connectivity, MTNL has activated the STD facility on its entire landline phones service without any charges.




The STD calling service with free Electronic Dynamic Locking Facility,  will be provided to all MTNL landline phone users from 3rd September 2009 without any extra security deposit.

Now all of Mumbai’s MTNL landline phone users can enjoy the STD facility without paying any security deposits or any formal STD facility request.

All the STD calls will be charged 80 paisa to Rs.1.20 per minute dpending on the respective tariff plan being availed by the customer. Customers should prefix `0’ to the STD code of the station which they wish to call, anywhere in India. The details of STD calls with call duration shall be provided free of cost to all landline customers along with their monthly bill. Customers who are not willing to avail the STD facility may call "1500" to bar the STD facility or they can apply to their area Customer Service Center in writing.
