Netxcell Enters Into African Markets

Netxcell Ltd the first VASP (Value Added Service Provider) in the nation has partnered with Africa based company AquaSanTec Ltd.

Under the partnership Netxcell and AquaSanTec Ltd will form a holding company in Mauritius by equity participation which will be called Netxcell Mauritius Ltd (NML).The partnership will ensure a quick start for Netxcell in countries like Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Sudan and Burundi through the existing presence of AquaSanTec Ltd.




Netxcell Mauritius Ltd (NML) which will have its liaison office in these 7 countries will outsource all the technology in terms of development, service and support from Netxcell Limited, Hyderabad. Under the agreement NML will bill the operators in African market directly and in turn, Netxcell will bill NML for all its services/technology.

Debasis Chatterji, CEO, Netxcell said, “Expanding Netxcell’s operation to Africa is another milestone in our vision for sustained growth and market expansion. Netxcell’s decision to enter the African market was made after months of evaluating several destinations in the world.  Africa has a huge potential in the VAS segment and our partnership with AquaSanTec Ltd. offers us several advantages in the region like ready infrastructure, local expertise and strong network.”

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Nikhil Shah, Director, AquaSanTec Ltd. said, “This is a strategic move to bring the synergies of AquaSanTec Ltd. which has the local knowledge and a strong network and Netxcell which brings with it the technical competency to capture the huge potential of the VAS market in this region. We are happy to partner with Netxcell and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with the company.”
