Mumbai’s largest Broadband Service provider Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today officially announced the launch of 2 Mbps Broadband plan - "Broadband For Every Home" with effective cost of Rs.25 per month to make high speed broadband connection affordable to all sections of the masses.
The move is aimed at making MTNL's ADSL based wire-line Broadband services more popular to the public as entry cost has now come down to a new affordable level.
As earlier we shared on 18th Feb, MTNL's Broadband For Every Home plan will cost Rs. 300 for 12 months (one year) Broadband access with speed up to 2 Mbps (effective cost Rs. 25/month) with free usage of 50 MB per month (total 600 MB data usage). Beyond free usage data charges will be applicable as low as 20 paisa per MB
All new customer opting “Broadband For Every Home” plan will also pay one time charges Rs.200 for installation and testing; Rs.300 / Rs.600 for MTNL wired or wireless modem respectively and Rs.50 per month ADSL Modem rental extra. If customers use their own modem than modem charges will not applicable.

Note : This plan is suitable only for casual Broadband users, high data usage customer can opt other plans starting from Rs.395 per with Unlimited Data usage at 512 Kbps speed. MTNL also offering 2 Mbps Xpress Unlimited Broadband plans starting from Rs.600 per month.
