LOOP Mobile Launches Loop Mail – SMS Based Free Email Service

With over 3 million GSM subscribers in Mumbai circle, City's oldest GSM Mobile Service Operator Loop Mobile (formerly BPL Mobile) in a latest move has come out with exciting new VAS service dubbed as Loop Mail.

With the all new VAS Loop Mail, your mobile number is going to be your email ID and through an SMS-based application you can send/receive emails on any handsets. The handset need not be a BlackBerry, but even a smart phone will do.




As an introductory offer the service will absolutely FREE for 12 months. To activate service SMS LMAIL to 50303. You will now receive a SMS with the username and password for your Loop Mobile Mail ID. The same SMS will also contain a WAP link which can be used in case you want to reset your password or change the nickname for the account.

For example, your current Email ID created is 98XXXXXXXX@loopmail.in, you can change this to@loopmail.in You can now start sending and receiving Emails using your Loop Mobile Mail ID. The service can now be used through your SMS inbox or by accessing the WAP link which comes to your SMS inbox. You can also send & receive emails online from www.loopmail.in

  • To receive Emails from your Gmail, Hotmail accounts in your SMS Inbox, you set the auto-forwarding option from your current Email ID to the Loop Mobile Mail ID.
  • For Emails where you receive attachments, you will receive a link in the SMS using which the attachment can be viewed. Please note the attachment viewing feature is available for only GPRS enabled devices.
