With new smartphone entering the market every month, choices are plenty. However, it is wise to compare some of the best handsets so that once can shortlist the finest choices available. Lenovo has just launched the Vibe X in the Indian market for a price of Rs 25,999 and it will be going up against the Gionee Elife E6 which is selling for around Rs 20,999. But on the other hand, Lenovo has bundled the device with freebies which justify the price difference. Presented below is a comparative look at the Lenovo’s latest handset Vibe X and Gionee’s Elife E6 device:
Display: Both the smartphones feature a capacitive touch display of 5 inches that provide a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 441 ppi. Both of them feature Gorilla Glass 3 on top so there’s not much to differentiate among the screens of the both the devices.
Processor: Lenovo Vibe X has been equipped with a MediaTek MTK 6589T quad core processor of 1.5 Giga Hertz. On the other hand, Gionee Elife E6 comes loaded the same processor so you won’t be left behind in the processing department if you choose either of them.
Operating System: Both the devices function on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform and its highly unlikely that they will get an update north of Android 4.3 so tread wisely in this regard.
Memory: Both the smartphones carry a RAM of 2 GB. In terms of internal memory, Vibe X offers 16 GB storage space while Elife E6 provides 32 GB storage space. Both the devices lack memory card slot. And since they lack a microSD card slot, the internal memory becomes the deciding factor and the Elife E6 takes the lead in this regard.
Camera: Lenovo Vibe X and Gionee Elife E6 come with a rear camera of 13 mega pixels with LED flash and a front facing camera of 5 mega pixels. Both of them look similar on paper and we can only comment on this after we actually use them.
Connectivity Features: The connectivity features included in both the handsets are 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro USB and GPS.
Other Features: Vibe X and Elife E6 feature a 3.5 mm audio jack, magnetometer, proximity sensor, light sensor and FM Radio.
Battery: Both the devices run on a non removable battery of 2000 mAh capacity.
Price: The Lenovo Vibe X is available at a price of Rs. 25,999 while the Gionee Elife E6 can be availed for Rs. 20,999.
Our Take: The Lenovo Vibe X and Gionee Elife E6 come with almost similar features because of which they will face stiff competition from one another and they may eat into each others sales. After comparing the two, my verdict is in favor of Gionee Elife E6 as it provides more storage space and is available at a cheaper price.
