In a flash sale held in Beijing, LeEco has made a whopping sale of 910 million RMB (around 140 million USD) on LeMall.com and other platforms (JD.com, TMall and LePar Stores) by selling a total of over 7,50,000 units of Le smartphones, which the company calls as ‘Superphones’, says a release from the company. The website witnessed 23 million registrations for the sale.

Among the smartphones sold, Le Max 2 got sold out in just 57 seconds. Le 2 was sold out in 8.26 minutes. Besides the smartphones, the registration for its 4th generation Super TVs exceeded 18 million. LeEco’s Superphones and Super TVs have connected hardware, content, and services.

LeEco initially showcased its products on April 20 and asked the fans to instantly register for their favorite products. This was arranged simultaneously to the launch event. Within 24 hours of the launch, the registration of Le 2 series Superphones reached 10 million.

This is not the first time that LeEco is creating sales records. It conducted “Free Hardware Day” on April 14, 2016. Commenting on the sales, LeEco’s founder and CEO Mr. Jia Yueting, said,“From negative profit of hardware to free hardware, LeEco has unveiled a new era of paying for the true value of products and services, while most brands are still making huge profits from selling the hardware. On the contrary, LeEco is selling its hardware lower than the industry BOM cost and is forming a brand new concept where users will only pay for the high-quality services and content, rather than the premium of hardware and the brand,”

LeEco has obtained over 11,000 patents in the fields of the smartphone, TV, automobile, Internet-of-Vehicles (IOV), electric car, eUI, and virtual reality (VR). The second generation LeEco smartphones are the first in the world to replace the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack with the USB Type-C audio port supported by CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) technology. For the operating system, LeEco’s eUI (Ecosystem User Interface) built up a vertically-integrated ecosystem, the release pointed out.

LeEco entered the Indian market in January 2016. The company plan to bring its entire range of products to India soon.
