Kinetic Watts and Volts Partners With Jio Things to Add Connected Vehicle Technologies to Upcoming EVs
Kinetic Watts and Volts Limited (KWV), the electric mobility subsidiary of Kinetic Engineering Limited, has entered into a strategic technology partnership with Jio Things Limited, a subsidiary of Jio Platforms. The collaboration will introduce connected vehicle technologies across all upcoming Kinetic EV two-wheeler models in India.

Voice-assisted features and connected vehicle technologies

As part of the partnership, KWV will integrate voice-assisted controls, IoT-enabled smart digital instrument clusters, and connected vehicle technologies into all its upcoming electric scooters. The move supports KWV’s mission of delivering accessible, intelligent, and future-ready mobility solutions designed specifically for Indian riders.

Jio Things Platform

Jio Things offers a unified ecosystem comprising edge devices, connectivity, cloud infrastructure, remote device management, installation support, and aftermarket services, making it the world’s only full-stack IoT platform of its kind. The integration of this ecosystem into Kinetic EVs is expected to significantly enhance the user experience while enabling seamless digital connectivity for both individual riders and commercial fleets.

Through this association, KWV said on Monday, December 22, 2025, that it will introduce a suite of new digital capabilities enabled by Jio’s IoT ecosystem. These include voice-assisted vehicle interaction for convenience and safety, smart digital instrument clusters with real-time data, connected mobility features for performance monitoring and diagnostics, enhanced infotainment applications, and telematics and cloud-based analytics for fleet operators.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Kinetic Watts & Volts Ltd., said: "With this partnership, we now extend that commitment into digital mobility, bringing voice assistance and connected features to everyday riders, so technology becomes truly intuitive and useful. With this launch, Kinetic Watts & Volts becomes one of India’s first companies to offer mass-market voice-assisted connected EV scooters, the company said, according to a PTI report.

Aim to make connected EVs affordable

According to the release, the collaboration aims to make connected EVs mainstream and affordable while building a technology-rich mobility ecosystem for India. It also seeks to enhance rider safety, convenience, and reliability; improve digital uptime and reduce connectivity issues; and enable better analytics and operational efficiency for fleet operators.
