Jio preview data offer now available for Samsung smartphone users

Reliance Jio Infocomm has reportedly extended its three-month unlimited data preview offer to Samsung smartphone users in India ahead of the commercial launch, which as per various media reports is expected in mid-August this year. Under the offer, Samsung smartphone users will get three months of free unlimited data and 4,500 minutes of voice calls, unlimited video calls, unlimited SMS, unlimited 4G data and Jio Premium apps.

Samsung users can download the MyJio app to avail the offer. Basis on the location and city, the app will generate the offer a barcode, which can be used to avail the SIM at a Reliance Digital or Xpress Mini Store nearby after submitting the identity, address proof and your photograph. A User needs to dial 1977 to activate your Jio SIM through tele-verification, once he inserts the SIM in his Samsung smartphone.

According to mobile news blog Techpp, the Jio offer is available for Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge Plus, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 5 / Note 5 Duos, Galaxy Note 4 Galaxy A8, Galaxy A5 2015 and A5 2016 and Galaxy A7 2015 and A7 2016.

In June this year, Jio began selling Lyf smartphones with SIM cards enabled for high-speed data services in bigger cities. Currently, any new Lyf smartphone buyer can avail the free Jio SIM card which comes with the three months preview offer. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator may launch its commercial services along with the maiden plan, called Freedom. The plan is anticipated to offer free voice services bundled with data, priced at least 25% lower than current offerings of top rivals.
