Jio Gifting its Users 2GB Daily Data as Part of the Company’s 2nd Anniversary Celebrations

Follow Us

Reliance Jio, which started its operations back in September 2016 has recently completed its 2nd Anniversary. As part of the anniversary, Jio has added a complementary data pack to its users, dubbed as 'Jio Celebrations Pack.' This pack offers a user 2GB of data per day until September 11, 2018. However, there are chances the pack validity differs with every user. According to the information we have, Jio is giving its users 8GB of data each month (September and October). The data balance will be credited in the form of 2GB data per day and comes with an expiry date too. The same 8GB data will be given to users next month as well.

Open MyJio App to Check the Data Balance

Jio is giving the data to every customer, but we're not sure whether the users without an active tariff plan will receive the Jio Celebrations Pack or not. However, all Jio users can install the My Jio app and log in to their account to check the data balance. After successfully logging in, users should head over to My Plans section. Below the currently active plan section, you can spot the 'Jio Celebrations Pack' stating that it will offer 2GB data per day along with an expiry date.

In my case, the plan got credited into My Jio account earlier today at 5:50 AM and the expiry date is September 11, 2018, 5:50 AM, which means that I will be offered a total of 8GB data. Simultaneously, I checked the same in another Jio number and the plan got credited on September 6, 2018, at 7:44 PM and it will expire on September 10, 2018, at 7:44 PM, offering the same 8GB of data.

Two 8GB Vouchers Will Be Given to Users

As mentioned above, Jio is providing a total of 16GB data to its users as part of its 2nd Anniversary Celebrations. The data will be credited in the form of 2GB vouchers every day for four days in September and October. That said, September's voucher has been credited already, while the second 8GB voucher will be credited sometime next month.

Jio Celebrates its 2nd Anniversary

Reliance Jio entered the Indian market back in September 2016 with an aim to bring 4G to the masses. And the company succeeded in doing that. Thanks to Jio, India is now amongst the leading country in the OpenSignal's 4G Availability list of countries. With its aggressive tariff plans strategy and free services, Jio was able to procure more than 200 million subscribers in just 19 months after launching the services. Jio' subscriber addition is way better than any other telecom operator in the world.

Reliance Jio did its prepaid tariff revision back in January 2018, but the best part is the telco is still offering the best-prepaid tariff plans in the country, which explains the entire scenario. However, the combined entity of Vodafone Idea Limited is expected to counter Jio with affordable tariff plans, which might force the new entrant to revise its tariff plans yet again.

In the postpaid department, Jio is still unmatched because it's offering 25GB of 4G data at just Rs 199 every month.
