Challenge faced by Operators Globally

A common challenge faced by telecom operators worldwide is the physical space required for additional antennas on existing towers and rooftops. Nokia's IPAA+ helps service providers deploy 5G faster by addressing the challenge of finding additional space on towers and rooftops for antennas. It's a compact solution that combines 4G and 5G antennas, lowering site rental costs and making site acquisition faster.

Successful Field Test

According to the statement, during a field test conducted in Tantangan, South Cotabato, on the island of Mindanao, Nokia and Globe's engineering team successfully trialled a Globe Telecom-specific variant of the IPAA+. This makes Globe Telecom the first operator in the world to successfully test the 2.6 GHz IPAA+ variant.
