Here’s some good news for all the internet addicts out there who love to stay online and kill time even while waiting at the Railway Stations. According to a report, Indian Railways is planning to offer free Wi-Fi connectivity at the country’s busiest Railway Station.
New Delhi Railway Station which handles about 300 trains and five lakh passengers a day, will soon be the India’s first Wi-Fi enabled Station. Once operational, passengers on all 16 platforms of the New Delhi Station will be able to access internet on their handheld devices. There are also plans to replace information kiosks with tablet computers that will provide information about the train position, expected arrival time and other relevant data required by the passenger.
Recently, Indian Railways introduced free Free Wi-Fi in Trains starting with the New Delhi- Howrah Rajdhani Express and will be soon extended to fifty other trains in the future.
