Duos Technologies Group (Duos), through its subsidiary Duos Edge AI, has launched its first Edge Data Center (EDC) at the Region 16 Education Service Center in Amarillo, Texas. The new facility will provide high-speed internet access and scalable IT resources to 60 public school districts in the Texas Panhandle, improving educational opportunities and supporting local economic growth.

Bridging the Digital Divide
The EDC aims to bridge the digital divide by delivering reliable internet access to rural schools, enabling innovative educational tools and fostering economic development through enhanced connectivity for local businesses.
"We are thrilled to launch our first Edge Data Center in Amarillo, a location that will serve as a critical hub for education and economic development in the region," said Doug Recker, President of Duos Edge AI.
Chuck Ferry, CEO of Duos, praised the project's potential impact on students and the broader community, while Michael Keough, CTO of Region 16, called the EDC a "vital catalyst for digital equity."
"The 60 public school districts in the rural Texas Panhandle rely on Region 16 for their educational and technological needs," Michael said.

Expansion Plans to Meet Growing IT Needs
The Region 16 EDC will be operational by mid-September, with plans for further expansion to support the growing needs of the Texas Panhandle.
