Opera Software ASA has introduced Opera Mini 7.1 for J2ME and Blackberry devices. It should be noted that Opera believes in omni-presence as their browsers work on most platforms including more than 3,000 different handsets.
Opera Mini is the choice of millions of users for its small size and faster browsing, thanks to Opera Turbo which compress data upto 90%. The new version of Opera Mini focuses on the revamped download manager which offer smoother downloading to the users.
The new download manager integrated on Opera Mini offers pause of the downloads, as 2G/3G connectivity disappears and resume the download as the data connection is back. Not only that Opera Mini 7.1 can offer easier access the file downloaded.
On Blackberry devices the file can be directly accessed over the browser, while on J2ME users can choose to let the phone open the file directly eg via media player or pdf reader or save it for later use.
