TRAI Report card: Rajasthan and Karnataka take the lead again when it comes to highest number of MNP requests

According to the Data by the service providers a total number of 126.72 million subscribers have submitted Mobile Number Portability requests to the various operators as on the end of July 2014.

The MNP regions are further classified into Zone 1 consisting of Northern & Western India, Zone 2 consisting of the Southern & Eastern. In the Zone 1 maximum requests have been initiated in the region of Rajasthan (12.68million) which is trailed by the neighbouring Gujarat (10.69 million). In the Zone 2 again this time around the maximum number of porting requests is from Karnataka (14.34 million) which is shadowed by Andhra Pradesh Service area (11.83 million).

The total number of MNP requests received for the month of July stands at 2.86 million. The region wise status of MNP is clearly depicted in the table above.
