MSOs Approach TRAI Over interconnect agreements

Over 61 MSOs (Multi System Operators) have approached TRAI over signing of interconnect agreements. The information was made public by Sunil Kumar Singhal, Advisor, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India during the eighth task force meeting of TRAI. Global: Whatsapp and AT&T rated low in protecting users’ privacy

Reliance Jio Media Pvt. Ltd receives MSO license, soon to become the strongest media player in India

Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has provided provisional permit to Reliance Jio Media Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Reliance Jio Infocomm, to operate as multi-system operator (MSO) in digital cable TV space. This makes it a television channel distributor.
