BSNL to Increase Landline/CDMA (Fixed) Rentals, Reduce Freebies for Rural ‘General’ Customers

Customers in rural areas using General plan of BSNL Landline/CDMA fixed wireless phones (WLL) will have to pay more starting 01 May 2014. The rent is set to increase by a marginal amount of Rs. 10 per month and free calls (off-net) will be reduced by 10 units/month. The call charges and free on-net call units remain same.

As we noted earlier (BSNL Hikes Tariffs of Select Broadband Unlimited Plans), these tariff revisions are expected to continue.

compairing salary paid by airtel & bsnl is meaning less, airtel service is mosly in mobile network,(set up/share one tower and forget it, in mobile same is the case with bsnl also), are they maintaining any landline network in rural areas ? and about tariff :- compare the charges you paid for land line 15 yrs back and now (try the charges for 30 min std calls) and compare with any thing for which you pay then & now and your own earnings! only bsnl land line charges decreased
